The best view point in life

The psalmist teaches to look forward with faith, and hope, and prayer upon what God would further do. The success with which God blessed David, was a type of the total overthrow of all Christ's enemies. Those who might have had Christ to rule and save them, but rejected him and fought against him, shall find the remembrance of it a worm that dies not. God makes sinners willing by his grace, receives them to his favor, and delivers them from the wrath to come. May he exalt himself, by his all-powerful grace, in our hearts, destroying all the strong-holds of sin and Satan. How great should be our joy and praise to behold our Brother and Friend upon the throne, and for all the blessings we may expect from him! yet he delights in his exalted state, as enabling him to confer happiness and glory on poor sinners, who are taught to love and trust in him.

Psalm 21:7-13
For the king trusts in the Lord;
through the unfailing love of the Most High
    he will not be shaken.
Your hand will lay hold on all your enemies;
your right hand will seize your foes.
When you appear for battle,
you will burn them up as in a blazing furnace.
The Lord will swallow them up in his wrath,
and his fire will consume them.
10 You will destroy their descendants from the earth,
    their posterity from mankind.
11 Though they plot evil against you
and devise wicked schemes, they cannot succeed.
12 You will make them turn their backs
when you aim at them with drawn bow.
13 Be exalted in your strength, Lord;
we will sing and praise your might.

Does an American Citizen have a constitutional right to own a gun?

The Second Amendment says, "A well-regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."
Some say it only protects the state militia and not individuals. This was the position of four Supreme Court Justices in the case of District of Columbia and Heller in 2008. This was huge for gun ownership.
I have research this topic because of the loud media talk of this subject.
I have come to believe that the Second Amendment was to secure an individual right to bear arms.
Go back to the case of District of Columbia and Heller. The five of nine Supreme Court Justices had the correct position in my thought.
Let's first look at the Second Amendment. We read this, "The right of the people." You see the right of the people not the militia or a state government. The phrase of "the right of the people", comes up a few times in the Constitution. The First Amendment, the right of the people peacefully assemble and petition the government. The Fourth Amendment is to protect people from unreasonable searches.
Why, then if the Authors of the Constitution felt so strongly about "the right of the people" to own guns did they include language about "a well-regulated militia?"
These words are called an Justification Clause. A Justification Clause explains why it being secured but the Operative Clause explains what right is being secured. In this case, the right for the people to have guns. And what was the word "militia" understood to mean at the time?
The Militia Act of 1792 define all white males 18-45 years old. If it was written today, every color, people and women would be included. It would be the National Guard in today terms.
What did it mean for the militia "to the security of a free state?"
People who are against guns ownership will say it does not talk about individual gun rights.
We need to look at the historical view point.
In the 1790, the wording of "free state" didn't mean the state of New York but a free country a nation free of despotism.
The founding fathers saw an armed citizenry as a hedge against tyranny.
People that own weapons that protect themselves, they protect themselves from tyranny and protection from foreign power. But it doesn't mean that this right is unlimited.
The right of free speech has been narrowed and regulated regulation.
Like severe restrictions on owning a gun would be bad as severe restrictions on free speech.
Maybe you are thinking this understanding of the Second Amendment is outdated today, many want it to change because values are changing in the modern culture.
If people want a change then it can be amended. Two-thirds of Americans believe the Second Amendment secures the right of citizens to own a gun. The government have back this.
The Second Amendment secure the individual rights for guns? It did when it was written, it has been through American History and does today.
We need to go to the root issue. We live in a culture that don't believe in absolute truth. If there is no "hard truth" then what is stopping a student from shooting other students. If there is not absolute truth then you can't tell that student that shooting a school in not wrong. That is the problem, the human heart. How do you stop the human heart to kill people. In Asia, a skilled person with a knife can kill hundreds of people with a knife. The issue is the person killing with the knife and if there is not truth then you can't stop people.

Devil advocate in Seattle

Looking around Seattle playing devil advocate
Remember to check yourself before you wreck yourself
Issues are increasing and trying something

We get  in our comfort zones and never leave
Maybe a little throwback may work
Like going back to JFK ideas in Seattle

What was in schools when there were peace
A long time ago when there were rifle teams
And that said with no school shootings

It is clear that the new agenda not working
Are we going to the paths of Russia and Venezuela?
I certainly don't want to live there

We  forgot about religious freedom
People should not have only on thought in culture
If you don't want to bake a cake then don't

Should we pay people to have our children?
In Japan, a guy having seventeen kids
With no wife and bunch of nannies so becoming an orphanage

Many kids are confused about sexuality
We are made men and women
But we can't mention that any more because of Therapy Ban

Seattle is very not churched
We need the gospel more now
Lord, help me shine and share

The world is stress and do you want an great life?

Happy the people whose king makes God's strength his confidence, and God's salvation his joy; who is pleased with all the advancements of God kingdom, and trusts God to support him in all he does for the service of it. All our blessings are blessings of goodness, and are owing, not to any merit of ours, but only to God's goodness. But when God's blessings come sooner, and prove richer than we imagine; when they are given before we prayed for them, before we were ready for them, nay, when we feared the contrary; then it may be truly said that he prevented, or went before us, with them. Nothing indeed prevented, or went before Christ, but to mankind never was any favor more preventing than our redemption by Christ. Thou hast made him to be a universal, everlasting blessing to the world, in whom the families of the earth are, and shall be blessed; and so thou hast made him exceeding glad with the countenance thou hast given to his undertaking, and to him in the prosecution of it. The Spirit of prophecy rises from what related to the king, to that which is peculiar to Christ; none other is blessed for ever, much less a blessing for ever.

Psalm 21:1-6
1 The king rejoices in your strength, Lord.
How great is his joy in the victories you give!
You have granted him his heart’s desire
and have not withheld the request of his lips.[b]
You came to greet him with rich blessings
and placed a crown of pure gold on his head.
He asked you for life, and you gave it to him—
length of days, for ever and ever.
Through the victories you gave, his glory is great;
you have bestowed on him splendor and majesty.
Surely you have granted him unending blessings
and made him glad with the joy of your presence.

A new feminism in the twenty-first Century

There is a new feminism in the twenty-first century. There are three words that are in this movement: dignity, the word no and men.
Tammy Bruce was very involved in the feminist movement and she was on the board of the National Organization of Women.
She is happy that there were some changes that had occurred but she is also sad because guilt because it has caused a lot of damage in the culture.
Tammy Bruce want to reverse the damaged that has happened.
Her thought on the first pillar of the new feminism is dignity. She believes that dignity is the core of what feminism is all about. And also, a women can clearly choose her own  path in life.
That was once feminism once held on to but it has changed now.
If you ask any young, female college student what she want to be. She will say that she want to be an  lawyer, journalist or doctor but she will most likely say not an mother or wife.
Many people in the feminist movement will get mad at women that want a man and he be the head then the feminist will say that it is sexist, offensive, embarrassing and anti-feminist.
According to Tammy Bruce, a new feminism will value and respect all responsible choices.
Tammy Bruce thinks that the feminist movement  now are encouraging women to act like men.
Is a women free if she can have causal sex like many men and really don't care? That's was new feminism aspires to?  The answer is yes in the modern culture.
The new feminism has downplay the desire for women to have a family and hyped the reward of a career and causal sex.
This leads to many unhappy women when they do this and become very sad in the distant future.
According the Tammy Bruce, the second pillar of the new feminism is the word no.
It is connect to the first pillar.
There is an power in the word "no." In the past, the feminist movement didn't want women to be treated as an sex object, now you see women are more of an sex object and it is increasing.
You see this in the Music Videos, signs and in the "hook-up" culture on college campuses.
Many teenager girls are pursing teenage boys for only sex, now days. How did that happened?
It is because feminism began to preach that women should act like men. The new feminism preach that whatever men did, and however they did it, that's what women should do.
These feminist are angry at men but want to act like men so wonder why the culture is messed up.
The women are robbing themselves to say "no." Women should take the the word "no" back.
Young women and every women need to have this idea. I will not be defined by anyone else.
To go deeper and clearer, not by the modern day feminist and men's sexual desires.
That is female power.
The third pillar of the new feminist movement is men.
Many modern day feminist forget about this. Men give up their monopoly on voting and allowed women to vote.
It was men that invented the refrigerator. It was men that invented the washing machine. And other products that help woman and mankind.
The modern culture like to say that men and women basically the same and that they are socialize differently.
George Orwell, who lived from 1903-1950, said, "That's an idea that only an intellectual would be foolish enough to believe."
Men and women need each other. Women civilized men.
Tammy Bruce thinks and believes that women needs to preserve dignity, not to be afraid of using the word "no", and see men as partners not as competitors or as oppressors.
That should be the new Feminism to replace the current one and to improve the current issues that men and women have.
Happy Women's History Month!
